Abstract [en]
More than 80% of Fortune 1000 has adopted eprocurement and e-Sourcing technologies according to Abeerdeen Group. Focus has been on integration and automation of the extended sourcing lifecycle. The technology associated with Internet has increased the possibilities to do e-business, ecommerce, and e-procurement. [1] This paper describes and discusses the evolution and created benefits at Ericsson, the Swedish telecom company. A proposed new approach to discuss the procurement context, based on what to buy and how to do it, is also presented together with Swedish government cases. Tools in the presented cases have had a great effect on e-business and eprocurement processes and a lot of benefits have been created.
