The notion of capability has emerged in information system (IS) engineering as the means to support development of context dependent organizational solutions and supporting IS applications. To this end a Capability Driven Development (CDD) has been proposed. The CDD methodology supports IS development and designing as well as running applications that need to be adjusted according to changes in the context. This tutorial presents the methodology, demonstrates the tool support for CDD, as well as summarizes our experiences of using CDD in four companies.
