Note

The present Palula online dictionary is part of a larger field-linguistic undertaking, including the collection, analysis, and presentation of language data and orally transmitted tradition in close collaboration with the local language community. The main bulk of the material on which this dictionary is based was collected during several periods of field work. Palula is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by approximately 10,000 people in Chitral District, the northernmost district in modern-day Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province.
