In this chapter I would like to present the learning outcome of interdisciplinary working in the teacher education together with a colleague at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Education, Stockholm University. I will also refer to my music students’ visions in their essays titled “The School I Dream Of”. First and foremost, they stress the importance of listening to the children and their interests. They dream of creating holistic learning in interdisciplinary settings with multimodal activities in school where all children are included and participate with joy. In this text I will present and discuss possibilities and obstacles that arise from interdisciplinary working in teacher education with multimodal projects. The chapter will address the following questions:
• What can be learned from working with multimodal projects in teacher education?
• How can teacher educators support students in their vision of school as a possible arena for interdisciplinary working?
