Abstract [en]

The purpose of this article is twofold. Firtstly, the ambition to analyze the rThe purpose of this article is twofold. Firstly, the ambition is to analyze the role of the government in relation to private industry in the development of the nuclear power infrastructure in Sweden in the period of 1945-1970. Secondly, the purpose is to account for what was actually made in terms of education, research and financial funding in “the Swedish line” and to assess its importance for the swift take over by the light water reactor system.
