The site of a Viking-Age hoard at Klints, found in 2002, was excavated in 2007. In addition to the original 690 coins (t.p.q. 1018), an additional 70 coins were found as well as the foundation of a house. It is not certain if the house was contemporary with the hoard. The coins mainly come from the Caliphate (24), Germany (346), England (281), Scandinavia (24), and Sweden (12). There were also stray finds of a barbarous Roman denarius, two German coins from the middle of the 11 c. and 16th c. respectively. This suggest activity at the site spanning the period 4th - 16th c.
