The purpose with the project, against this background, is
• To compare how contemporary European and global discourses on educational policy are incorporated, changed, adapted, and acquire a governing influence on the discussions about, and the organisation of, teacher education in the four Nordic countries.
• To analyse and compare how visions of the nation, teacher education, and the nation's teacher subjects are constructed in the meeting between national, European, and global educational policy currents.
• To analyse and compare how visions of globalisation and European identities are constructed in the meeting of supranational educational policy with the educational policy of each individual country.
