Network orientation in the field of welfare: A study of how Save the Children, Sweden operates with its network of financially dependent organisations

Abstract [en]

The aim of the study is to investigate if Save the Children, Sweden manages its relationships to the financially dependent organisations in a manner that is align with the network approach which has been developed to describe the conditions on the industrial market. Information has been gathered through interviews with representatives of the organisation. The results show that Save the Children operates with a network orientation with a high degree of insourcing, a strong focus on joint research and development activities and efforts to exercise influence over the organisations in their field.
