International Sourcing of IT-Services: Perceptions and Outcome
Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year)), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
In the Western World the demand of IT-labor is by far larger than the supply. An increasing number of companies in Asia and Eastern Europe are now providing their skilled workforce on the market. This can be done either by sending consultants to the client’s local site or by performing the work offshore. The thesis is a qualitative survey of Indian IT- service providers and their client’s on the Swedish market. The purpose is to investigate why companies are involving in international sourcing of IT-services and how the difficulties that may occur in the co-operation can be minimized.
