Abstract [en]

Communication channels like the corporate Intranet and e-mail have dramatically altered the infrastructure of modern companies. These mediums empower and assist the employees in exchanging and sharing a large volume of information at the split of a second. The increasing presence of information in virtually every corner of our business community cannot be underrated. The study, on which this article is based on, tries to explore the extent of excess information and certain predicaments related to it, at one of Ericsson’s many branches (Corporate IT). The outcome of the research shows that a number of employees are being bewildered by waves of information more frequently by their involvement with the corporate Intranet than e-mails.
