Uppsatsen utreder och gör ett försök att definiera begreppet "emotionell nytta" som är ofta förekommande inom marknadsföringslitteraturen men sällan förklarat. Lanseringen av American Express kreditkort, AmexBlue, används som exempel för att belysa olika aspekter av begreppet.
