Abstract [en]

For multinational enterprises (MNEs) to stay competitive today they have to be progressive and develop their businesses. A way to do this is entering a new market through an investment entry mode, which is through a wholly own subsidiaries or joint ventures. Those kinds of establishment will indeed be influenced in many ways by the host countries, which also in many ways are affected by such establishments as well. This is especially true for developing countries and therefore we chose to conduct a minor field study in one such country, Jamaica. From this we created the following research question:
