Abstract [en]

The construction industry is generally seen as a large and traditional-bound industry with lacking competitiveness and where purchasing has got a relatively weak position. With the progressive lowering of trade barriers around the world as well as the ever-changing business environment companies in most industries have to maximize their use of organizational international purchasing in order to remain competitive. A key to do this is to have an effective organizational structure for international purchasing.
