Abstract [en]

The Purpose of this thesis has been to find relevant measures to be used for evaluating the performance of an organsiation such as the Swedish South African Business Partnership Fund. As a part of the purpose we have also tried to understand the organisations pre-conditions for performance measurement. As a result of our study we explored several important measures that could be used for evaluating and measuring the performance of the fund. These measures are presented in three categories. Measures for the funds work with;investments, partnership promotion and some measures to be used irrespective of wether the fund works mostly with investments or partnership promotion. We have also through our study seen that there are some constraints on the organisation and parts that need to be clarified in order to make performance measurements easier and more valuable.
