We have conducted a study on how ICA can increase its knowledge about customer in order to increase sales of both the distributors own brands (ICA labels) and other brands in the store. The procedure is to analyse one ICA store database by executing a basket analysis, and simultaneously apply a customer capitalism mindset to the process. The analytical method is Data Mining and consists of the CRISP-DM data processing method’s six phases: business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modelling, evaluation and deployment.
