The focus is the entrance of the low-cost airlines and the problem area defined is the competitiveness of the low-cost airline strategy. The purpose of the thesis is to map the configuration of the low-cost airline strategies applied in Sweden, and to explore the impacts of the strategy on the competitive situation.
