This paper presents a study focused on young entrepreneurs`and financiers´views and perspectives on capital provision. The purpose of this paper is to analyse and describe the similarities and differences of views between young entrepreneurs and financiers concerning capital provision. Information for the empirical study has been gathered by means of a survey and supplemented with interviews. The method that has been used for this purpose is method triangulation in the gathering of data both quantitative and qualitative. The theoretical framework for analyzing the result of the study has been the gap finacing theory, barriers of entrance, phases of business development, pecking order theory and assymetric information. The overall findings show that young entrepreneurs´and financiers´ views are alike as concerns the need for capital, but views on strategies and planning procedures of how the need for capital should be solved differ. Both financiers´ and young entrepreneurs´ do not consider that the provision of capital is functioning satisfactorily today. The difficulty to obtain financing from financiers is most frequent in the start-up stage of business.
