Swedish companies in Estonia: The establishment process of four companies
Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
We, Nora Fenlin and Elina Kantelinen, have studied the establishment process of four Swedish companies in Estonia in our bachelor’s thesis during autumn term 2003. The purpose of the thesis was to introduce the problems the chosen companies faced during the establishment process and the actions that were taken in order to be able to accomplish the establishment successfully. The results of the empirical study showed the major problems the companies experienced were the Estonian bureaucracy and the cultural differences. The importance of networks and the personal relations within these networks appeared to be the most vital success factor regarding the establishment process in general.
