Abstract [en]

The study gathers knowledge about events as a part of marketing in the pharmaceutical business focusing on the prescription medicine market. Moreover, the study describes the pivotal role of event marketing in building and maintaining relationships in this specific industry. The pharmaceutical industry and its’ special characteristics are presented by describing the industry structure and forces influencing the market. The special nature of the industry is one influencing factor in the selection of subject as well as in restrictions made.
