Abstract [en]

Innovations and the transformation of innovations into products are crucial for the success and survival of a pharmaceutical company and are the keys to create new drugs. The innovations, i.e. drug candidates, are created in the discovery research process and are further developed into marketable drugs in the development process. But what resources are used to create innovations and what resources are needed to develop them into products? How do the needs of these resources affect the location choice of the different units connected to the different processes?
