After two decades of exceptional growth, China has become a major player in the world economy. Today many small companies are attempting to enter China. The purpose of this paper is to get a better understanding of the internatinalization process undertaken by SME's. To attain our purpose, one small company has been studied and analyzed through a model based on excisting theories regarding internationalization, marketing and culture. Information is interpreted and processed mainly throug our pre-understandings and excisting knowledge. Therefore, the scientific perspective used in this study can be interpreted as hermeneutic.
