Abstract [en]

Possibilities of 3G technology could have a great impact on tourism information provided to business tourists after arriving to a destination. The resources that at hand for accessing and experiencing tourism attractions today could offer limited possibilities not serving the prerequisites, wants and benefits sought by the business tourist. Tourist information accessed through 3G services can be an attractive tool meeting the functional and hedonic requirements of business tourists. This tool will however not be used in isolation from its environment and other resources at hand for the business tourist. The ability of tourism information accessed with 3G mobile technology to enable the desired tourist activities compared to other resources, i.e. the leverage value of the offering is evaluated through focus group and complementary group interviews at Ericsson Experience Center, bars and hotels in Stockholm.
