Abstract [en]

Our thesis deals with the technique of benchmarking in the hotel industry. We are focusing on the entire control process. To investigate our topic, we selected three chains of hotels to undertake a comparative study in order to find the critical sucess factors in this branch. One of our findings is that the respective hotels are very aware of the costs. Two of the hotels were more conscious about their quality of product, both of them did follow-ups in different ways. According to all three hotels, there is a clear link between effective processes and profitability.
