Abstract [en]

This thesis studies the merger between Icelandic Kaupthing Bank and Swedish JP Nordiska. The purpose is to analyse the merger from an investor relations perspective. The authors find that Kaupthing did not use any particular strategy in its communication. Furthermore, it did not adequately differentiate between the recipients of the communication. In hindsight, the company should have taken a more careful approach, focusing on attaining credibility in its actions.
