Abstract [en]

To enter the Chinese market and to gain access to the Chinese peoples’ purchasing power, has been a dream for many western businessmen. China is the worlds most densely inhabited country and has one of the largest emerging markets. The low production cost, the large amount of labour and the large potential in the growing middle class attract foreign companies to China. The “open-door” policy enabled western companies to invest in the Chinese market and the dream became a reality.
