Abstract [en]

In business life today there are lots of discussions around Information Technology (IT) and the difficulties of managing projects in relation to IT. Very often implementations of IT are delayed and cost is over predicted budget. In addition it is questioned whether the effect of implementing different IT solutions achieves what they were asked to do. The reasons might be many but one of the areas often quoted is the lack of an internal ¡¥IT Strategy and Governance process¡¦ in the own organization or company. When we talk about IT Governance we primarily do not mean project management and how corporations handle IT projects. The focus is on the general management and how the corporations have succeeded in integrating IT as part of the general business strategies or governance process.
