Abstract [sv]

Since the textile quotations from China were abolished at the turn to the year of 2005 there has been a debate whether textile firms will reallocate more of their purchasing activities to China. In this thesis, I investigate what factors Swedish textile firms value in their search for suppliers. I also investigate to what extent the firms interact with each other during the purchasing process. Campared to marketing, purchasing has been given less attention in scientific research. In this study I integrate research of international purchasing with research of Chinese business behaviour.
