Abstract [en]

The article reports on the development of learning to learn in a European context. It is noted that learning to learn has been identified in many considerations as one of the basic skills for success in the knowledge society. Globalization, the fast enhancement of technologies, and the increase of societal needs underline the need for citizens to learn in order that they could cope with the demands of employment and civil society.
