To reveal qualities for design of interaction that allow for full body experiences three full body movement activities with artifacts (golf, skateboard and an interactive movement companion) were studied. The study revealed interaction qualities for engagement of a rich array of senses and bodily capabilities for be-ing-in and moving-in the world. We show how successful design of movement-based and bodily interactive artifacts rely on qualities that allow users to connect their actions to the surrounding physical and social world. We introduce four key qualities for whole-body movement-based interaction.
