A German taler 1556 struck for Ulrich III in Mecklenburg-Güstrow was found in 2018 as a stray find at Romakloster on Gotland. I could possibly have a connection to a fleet from Denmark and Lübeck which was shipwrecked outside Visby in 1566. It could be the earliest evidence for an import of a taler, which was a denomination used in international payments.
