The well-versed Czarniawska reader might complain about the selection of publications made in this short essay. This is only fair under the condition that the purpose was to provide a representative view of Barbara Czarniawska’s work. This is not the case. Rather, the essay is a personal statement, dealing with the texts that have touched me the most during my career. The text kick-starts with my observation that she was exactly like the band Motörhead: A moving constant. From this observation, the rest of the text folds out as follows: paralogy, epistemology, performativity and mobility. I end with a short comment about the character of the author Barbara Czarniawska.
