Brev til en japansk ven: Denne tekst rummer to dele: Først oversætterens introduktion til Jacques Derridas “Brev til en japansk ven”, dets historie og relevans for kunstfagene, og derefter selve oversættelsen af Derridas tekst, hvori han forklarer betydningerne og overvejelserne bag ordet ’dekonstruktion’, sådan som han forstod og anvendte det. Derridas tekst indeholder to fodnoter, mens oversætteren har forsynet introduktionen og oversættelsen med en række opklarende slutnoter.
