This study examines a poem written by the author J.R.R. Tolkien in Neo-Gothic, Bagme bloma. This short poem was composed using the author's knowledge of the Gothic language. The hypothesis tends to demonstrate that this poem, in several respects, was directly influenced by the Wulfila Bible. On the other hand, considerations regarding alliterative poetry, which could survive in Gothic, as well as Tolkien's intentional or unintentional creation of figura etymologica are the subject of this article.
